Kevin and Ursula Eat Cheap

Mar 7, 2011

Wow! Half a year already! This episode, Kevin swears a lot, and Ursula reminices about her grandmother's plastic wrap and shares her childhood memories of Barber Foods Stuffed Chicken Breast Cordon Blue.

We also take our chances with Kashi Lemongrass Coconut Chicken, Vifon Pho Bo Artificial Beef Flavor, World Classics Trading Company Thai Style Chicken Spring Rolls, Buitoni's Grilled Chicken & Spinach Cannelloni, and Knorr Pasta Sides Stroganoff.

We'll pair all of that with Abita Save Our Shores beer (Kevin) and Black Swan Chardonnay (Ursula).

And if you’re interested, the recipe for the potato salad (and a lot of other good stuff) is at Animal, Vegetable, Miracle

Okay, so the best that I can come up with is fruit snacks. Instant pho is like fruit snacks. They might be shaped like fruit, vaguely be colored like fruit, possibly even taste like fruit, if you screw your eyes closed and pretend you don't know what real fruit tastes like... but fruit snacks ain't fruit.

And in honor of Ursula's attempt to beat... nay, wrench... nay, flog... nay, *strangle* the most awkward, misbegotten metaphor describing tofu, I too shall seek to do the same for instant Pho before the next episode. <.<

"Pho" is pronounced more like... hm. Closest approximation would be "Fuh". There are some additional pronunciation things in there that I cannot quite convey with 26 letters. =T

Also, what the HECK is that thing in the photo? I swear, that must be Ursula's. There's no way it could possibly be that weird and Kevin's.
