Kevin and Ursula Eat Cheap

Jan 3, 2011

Happy New Year! Welcome to 2011, and we're eating cheap, but not drinking cheap. for starters, this week we have a 2007 Saint-Hilaire Blanquette De Limoux to drink with our selections. And what a selection! Teriyaki Chicken Stamed Buns to start, followed by a discussion of Marie Callener's Scalloped Potoes in a Creamy Cheese Sauce,  the delightful Pilsbury Savorings Artichoke & Spinach bread bowls, a brief review of Kikkoman Shiro Miso Soup, and finally Gabila's Famous Original Coney Island Square Knish. As an added bonus, our friend Dave sent us a bag of Mackie's of Scotland haggis & cracked black pepper potato crisps

That's right Haggis Potato Chips.  It's not as scary as it sounds. No, really.

Remember, we eat it so you don't have to, and we hope you enjoy the first new episode of 2011.

Hey guys--I'm just now catching up on all of the podcasts since Christmas. I just wanted to say way to go for pronouncing my name right (it's a rather rare occurrence).

A group of turkeys can also be called a gang, which I prefer as a collective noun for them. Turkeys are not friendly looking birds. I can see a group mugging some poor quail, emptying its wallet and leaving it upside-down in a tree stump...
