Kevin and Ursula Eat Cheap
Episode 21 - "She was wearing the underwear on her head. NOT Bacause she was crazy..."

Noodles, Gnochi, and Wine, that's sort of this week's theme. Starting out with some ? Red Wine from Oreana for Kevin, and Smoking Loon Chardoney for Ursula. Then we dig into some Pasta-Roni Fettuchini Alfredo Sauce, Alexa Beer Battered Chedar Bites, Annie Chun's Teriyaki Noodle Express, Blue Horizon Natural's Shells with Pesto Sauce, and Moo-Moo Maddelena's Gnocchi. Add into that a recipe for Marinated Musrooms, Stuffed Portobello Caps, and a discussion of Neal Stephenson, and it's another episode of cheap eats, just for you.

Remember folks, we eat it so we don't have to!

Hope you enjoy this week's episode!

Episode 20 - "Schrödinger's Fork"

We're back from MarsCon 2011, and playing catch-up with two weeks of dinners. So, we've got Blue Horizon Natural Pasta, Lundberg Garlic Primavera Rissoto, Mrs. T's Saurkraut Perogies, and Kerala Curry Vegtable Kurma Sauce. Add into that three new items cooked on the spot - Jamaican Style Mild Beef Patties, Thai Pavilion Thai Peanut, and Kimba BBQ Pork Buns.

Add to that a bottle of Snap Dragon Carbernet Sauvignon (and a little listener mail) and it's another week where we eat it so you don't have to.

Episode 19 - "It looks like a Mummys Toupe"

We actually recorded this one last week, since we're at MarsCon in Williamsburg VA this weekend.  Yes, we ate cheap twice in one day - our dedication to the listener knows no bounds.

This week we take a taste of two vegan dishes, and two meat dishes. On the vegan side, we have Fantastic World Foods' Spicy Thai soup and Kashi Mayan Harvest Bake. On the meat side, we have Goya Ham Croquettes and Uno Tastefulls Peperoni Calzone Cuts. We're pairing all of this with Le Drunk Rooster wine (spoiler : don't drink this).

Remember, we eat it so you don't have to, although this week you have to try at least one of these...

Episode 18 - The Breakfast Show

We're drinking before Noon! OK, this isn't normal, but since we're having breakfast and recording, we figured Mimosas were in order (to dull the pain). This week, we explore the dangers of frozen breakfast foods, starting everything off with Earth's Best Blueberry Mini-Waffles. Following that we have Kraft Cinnamon Bagelfuls, Jimmy Dean Bacon Breakfast Bowls, and close it out with Eggo Real Fruit Pizza Mixed Berry Sensations. Along the way, we'll continue our discussions of things that taste like health food, rant a little, and even talk about last night's dinner.

Just another morning in our house, really (except for the momosas). Even first thing in the morning, we eat it so you don't have to!

Episode 17 - "There's porn in Good Housekeeping, right?"

Happy New Year! Welcome to 2011, and we're eating cheap, but not drinking cheap. for starters, this week we have a 2007 Saint-Hilaire Blanquette De Limoux to drink with our selections. And what a selection! Teriyaki Chicken Stamed Buns to start, followed by a discussion of Marie Callener's Scalloped Potoes in a Creamy Cheese Sauce,  the delightful Pilsbury Savorings Artichoke & Spinach bread bowls, a brief review of Kikkoman Shiro Miso Soup, and finally Gabila's Famous Original Coney Island Square Knish. As an added bonus, our friend Dave sent us a bag of Mackie's of Scotland haggis & cracked black pepper potato crisps

That's right Haggis Potato Chips.  It's not as scary as it sounds. No, really.

Remember, we eat it so you don't have to, and we hope you enjoy the first new episode of 2011.
