Episode 29 - It Came from the Box

OK, I tried to write down what we found in the box. I tried to write down what we ate as we ate it. I tried to keep track while we editied, but there was just no way I could get it right. 


This week, we opened a gigantic box sent by our friend and all around cool person Reece. Not only are we mystified by what to do with some of the contents, we eat some too!

Episode 28 - "If the house burns down, I owe you a Coke."

We're about to leave town again, and you know what that means - even more breakfast foods! Starting with the colorful Aunt Jemima Confetti Pancakes, we pop some El Monterey Egg, Bacon & Cheese Breakfast Taquitos into the oven, and nosh out on Deep Chocolate VitaTops. We also thaw a Smucker's Uncrustables Peanut Butter and Strawberry sandwich, heat some Cinnabon Breakfast Bars, and discuss some of our prior dinners - Stouffer's Sautes for Two Steak Gorgonzola, Betty Crocker Jullienne, and Pillsburry Simply ButterMilk Biscuits. Be with us for the thrills, the chills, the betrayal, and the one food that is exactly as advertised on the box.

Episode 27 - "Tastes Like Floor!"

There are few foods cheaper or more common than frozen pizza. So, this week, we're doing frozen pizza! From classics like Red Baron's Deep Dish Pizza to Ore-Ida Pizza Bites, with a Stoufer's French Bread Pizza thrown in for fun. We also try some healthy options, in particular Amy's Margherita Pizza and Kashi Mediterranean Pizza. Finally, for variety, we try California Pizza Kitchen Crispy Thin Crust Hawaiian Pizza, Michelina's Lean Gourmet Pepperoni Bites, and World Classics Bruschetta. We pair all of this with Vendange Pinot Grigio (in a box!) and New Belgum Fat Tire Amber Ale.

We'll also talk about our eat fresh options this week, have some excitement with a microwave crisping tray, and yell "For Science!" at least once.

Remember we eat it so you don't have to, even when we feel a little weird about eating something...

Episode 26 - "And that's why we grew the Fifth Thumb!"

Wow! Half a year already! This episode, Kevin swears a lot, and Ursula reminices about her grandmother's plastic wrap and shares her childhood memories of Barber Foods Stuffed Chicken Breast Cordon Blue.

We also take our chances with Kashi Lemongrass Coconut Chicken, Vifon Pho Bo Artificial Beef Flavor, World Classics Trading Company Thai Style Chicken Spring Rolls, Buitoni's Grilled Chicken & Spinach Cannelloni, and Knorr Pasta Sides Stroganoff.

We'll pair all of that with Abita Save Our Shores beer (Kevin) and Black Swan Chardonnay (Ursula).
